What’s changed my cheeseburger game is getting the American cheese slices at my local deli. A bit more expensive but totally worth it.

For burgers, I like those individually wrapped cheese slices. I usually go with the board and melts or Kraft. For some reason, the good cheese has trouble melting evenly for me anyway.
